Description of the programme

SecureX SmokeGuard – EN14604 smoke detector with 10-year lifespan

SecureX SmokeGuard is a EN14604 certified smoke detector developed to provide reliable and coordinated fire protection in homes and buildings. It reacts quickly to smoke and is designed for spaces where early warning is crucial, such as bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and common areas.

When smoke is detected, a powerful siren of ≥85 dB (at 3 metres) along with a clear LED indicator, so that the danger is immediately recognised - even at night.

The built-in lithium battery has a lifetime of up to 10 years, making SmokeGuard virtually maintenance-free for its entire lifetime.

Interconnected fire protection - all devices alarm simultaneously

SecureX SmokeGuard is part of the SecureX branding system and is used together with SecureX hubs, which is the central unit of the system.

When and smoke or heat detector in the system is triggered:

  • All smoke and heat detectors alarm simultaneously

  • Sirens are activated throughout the property

  • Push notifications sent in real time to your mobile phone

The alarm switched off via the SecureX hub or directly in the Stonehouse Smart app.

Can multiple detectors be connected without a hub?
Absolutely. You can create your own wireless RF network where all detectors are interconnected.

If one alarms, everyone alarms – without WiFi or internet. Perfect for those who want a simple and robust system.

What do I get if I connect to SecureX Connect Pro?
With the SecureX hub you get extended functionality:

  • All detectors alarm simultaneously

  • Push notifications are sent to your mobile phone in the event of an alarm.

  • You can see status and history in the Stonehouse Smart app.

  • You can turn off alarms via app or hub

  • The system becomes part of your smart home

Do I have to choose between standalone or connected?
No. You can start with a standalone interconnected network and later connect it to SecureX Connect Pro when you want app control and notifications.

Does it work even if the internet is down?
Yes. The alarm function itself and the interconnected network work locally even without internet. Internet is only needed for mobile notifications and remote control via app.

App control & compatibility

All events are displayed in Stonehouse Smart Apps, where you can:

  • See which alarm has been activated

  • Receive real-time push notifications

  • Switching off and resetting the alarm

Important:

  • SmokeGuard connects to the SecureX hub

  • It is the hub that is compatible with Tuya and Smart Life

  • The smoke detector is not directly compatible with Tuya or Smart Life without hub

Easy installation & stable communication

SmokeGuard communicates wirelessly via 433 MHz and has a stable range throughout the home or property. It is easily mounted on the ceiling and has very low standby power consumption, which contributes to its long battery life.

The discreet design allows the smoke detector to blend into the interior without disturbing.

FAQs

Can SmokeGuard and HeatSense be used without SecureX Connect Pro?
Yes. Both SmokeGuard and HeatSense can be used as standalone detectors. They then function as independent smoke detectors with a built-in siren that sounds a local alarm when smoke or dangerous temperatures are detected.
Can multiple detectors be connected without a hub?
Yes. SmokeGuard and HeatSense can be connected wirelessly in their own RF network even without SecureX Connect Pro. This means that:
  • If one detector alarms, all interconnected devices alarm simultaneously
  • You get a common fire alarm throughout the building
  • The system works completely without WiFi or internet
This is called a stand-alone interconnected fire alarm system.
How does the interconnected network work?
The detectors communicate via their built-in RF (radio frequency) network. One unit is set up first and acts as the main point in the network, then the other units are paired with it. When one unit alarms, the signal is sent directly to all other units in the network.
What happens if I connect them to SecureX Connect Pro?
When SmokeGuard and HeatSense are connected to SecureX Connect Pro, you get extended functionality:
  • All detectors alarm simultaneously
  • Push notifications are sent to your mobile phone
  • Sirens in the system can be activated
  • Alarm status is displayed in the app
  • Alarms can be silenced via app or central
  • Events are logged
So you get both local alarms and smart monitoring.
Do they work even if the internet is down?
Yes. The alarm function itself and the interconnected RF network work locally even without internet. Internet is only needed for mobile notifications and remote control via app.
Do I have to choose between standalone or SecureX?
No. You can start with a standalone interconnected network and later connect it to SecureX Connect Pro for app control and expanded functionality.
How many detectors can be connected?
Multiple smoke and heat detectors can be connected to the same network so that they all alarm at the same time. The exact number depends on the system configuration, but up to 40 devices are supported in the SecureX system.
What is the difference between SmokeGuard and HeatSense?
SmokeGuard reacts to smoke particles in the air and is used where early fire detection is needed. HeatSense reacts to temperature increases and is used in environments where smoke detectors may give false alarms, such as kitchens, garages or dusty areas. They can be used together in the same system.
Does it need WiFi to work?
No. The detectors communicate via their own RF network. WiFi is only used for app functions when connected to SecureX Connect Pro.
What is the advantage of connecting to SecureX Connect Pro?
You get remote monitoring, mobile notifications, central management and full integration into your security system. This makes fire protection both local and connected.
What happens when the detector sounds an alarm?
When dangerous temperature is registered:
  • The built-in siren is activated
  • The LED indicator is flashing.
  • All smoke and heat detectors in the system alarm simultaneously
  • Sirens in the system can be activated
  • Push notifications are sent to your mobile phone
This provides a coordinated fire alarm throughout the property.
